We deliver mobility

The KVG delivers mobility to Kassel and its environs.  Every day, we transport more than 120,000 passengers on our buses, trams and RegioTrams, providing a comfortable travel option to their destinations. Many of them ride the KVG every single day – to work or to school, to visit friends, to get into the city or out into the country.

All of the KVG’s services have a small environmental footprint. For many years, we have been a leading transportation provider. All of our trains have been using 100 percent ecological power since as far back as 2007. In 2010 we switched our entire bus fleet to climate neutral operations. All of the KVG has been climate neutral since 2012.

We took the next big step in 2019: That year, all trams began to primarily use regionally generated wind power, while Norwegian waterpower has been supplying the rest of the required energy. Hence, the KVG operates as a part of the environmental group KVV and is, first and foremost aligned with the former’s subsidiary Städtische Werke AG.

Traveling with the KVG – easy on the environment, modern and dependable: Mobility that makes you feel good.
